• It's a 10 second walk to Martha Washington Park and the lake – most people go to beautiful Seward Park, but MW is the best kept secret with beach access and it's just locals. We like to take our dogs there at all times of day for a romp. We made some amazing friends at the park.
• Our apple, plum, and cherry trees are delightful in the spring when they're full of blossoms and even more amazing in the late summer when it's time to harvest. A fresh fruit off the tree - nothing like it. And we have so much that neighbors walking by enjoy the fruit as well.
• The front garden is ideal to catch sunset light on a cooler day - we've had many a beer in the front garden with our fountain and chatted with neighbors who were walking to Martha Washington Park.
• The back garden is our haven in the hot summer - so many flowers. We make bouquets every week, even make some for friends, host parties, our dogs love hanging out there as well.
• The side garden is all about growing vegetables and preserving them so you can enjoy them year-round. It's south facing so perfect for growing vegetables.
• We've loved sunrises from the primary bedroom with a view of the lake and mature trees. This developed into a bird watching hobby with many bird feeders - we get a regular visit from northern flickers, blue jays, chickadees etc.
• No matter what the season, this house is always filled with light due to large windows on all four sides. It's perfect for grey Seattle weather. Side benefit, indoor plants LOVE this place, and we rarely turn the heat on.
• The neighbors are all wonderful people - friendly, warm.
• Having Rainier Fitness 1 minute away, PCC 7 minutes away, Third place books 3 minutes away has meant that we've built a great rotation of places we love to go every week.
